Use The Sun: The Real Superpower Available Solar energy has increased in momentum recently. Both residences and businesses can see the advantages that solar energy gives them. The next paragraphs will educate you with a greater understanding of using solar energy. The density of your solar panels you purchase will determine how efficient they are. Panels that are more dense perform better, but they can generate more power. Be sure and compare densities before making your final choice. You don't have to remove your roof to benefit from solar energy. You can start small by installing solar energy. A panel system that tracks the sun is a great way to get started with generating solar power. These systems will follow the movement of the sun as it moves during the day. The initial investment will be much higher than with a basic system, but the benefits more than outweigh the costs. Photovoltaic panels work best in areas with at least 5 hours of unobstructed sunlight. Solar heating can lower the cost of keeping a pool that is heated. Sutton Hoo Helmet is a 2002 sculpture by the English artist Rick Kirby. A representation of the Anglo-Saxon helmet of the same name found in the Sutton Hoo ship-burial, it was commissioned by the National Trust to hang outside the Sutton Hoo visitor centre. Together with the centre, the sculpture was unveiled by Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney on 13 March 2002. Weighing 900 kg (2,000 lb), it is 1.8 m (5.9 ft) high, 1.2 m (3.9 ft) wide and 1.6 m (5.2 ft) deep. It is made of mild steel plates that are coloured red. Designed to have a "fierce presence", it is inspired by the fragmentary appearance of the reconstructed helmet rather than the glistening replica made by the Royal Armouries. Steel is Kirby's favoured medium, allowing the sense of scale and dramatic impact found in Sutton Hoo Helmet. The sculpture is illustrative of Kirby's largely figural body of work, and its mask-like quality has been repeated in subsequent pieces. (Full article...)

Pop singers Adele, Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Rihanna (pictured) each earned two number-one songs during the year. She became the fourth solo female to have multiple songs spend at least five weeks each at number one in one calendar year. Rihanna's "We Found Love" was the longest-running single of the year, having topped the chart for eight consecutive weeks in 2011 and two additional weeks in 2012. (Full list...)

The 1985 World Snooker Championship final was a snooker match played on the weekend of 27–28 April 1985 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. It was the final of the 1985 World Snooker Championship between defending world champion Steve Davis and 1979 runner-up Dennis Taylor (both pictured). The best-of-35-frames match was split into four sessions; Taylor was never ahead during the match, but tied at 17–17. The deciding frame culminated with several shots on the final ball – the black – which Taylor potted to win his only world championship. The final climaxed in the early hours of 29 April and was viewed by 18.5 million people in the UK, as of 2020 the record for a post-midnight television audience. The total match time of 14 hours and 50 minutes is the longest recorded for a best-of-35-frames match. The match is one of the most famous snooker matches of all time and part of the reason for the surge in the sport's popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. (Full article...)
